Starting a Blog (again)

Welcome to my new and improved blog/website! It is a work in progress, but I realized you cannot wait for perfection before releasing something as that day will never come. So I spent some time this past week browsing WordPress templates, installing one, experiencing frustration, installing another, and another, and then playing around on Illustrator to create some sort of logo for myself, and here it is! I just want a place where I can gather my thoughts (I’ve been having a lot of those lately) and to update people on my life in a more efficient and descriptive manner than I have been.

I’ve been getting a lot of questions like where are you? What are you doing? When are you coming home? So here is the short version.

Since I left the US six months ago with just a one way ticket to Singapore, I never imagined I would end up all the way in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where I have been for the past month, passing through 7 countries and 4 continents on the way. I still have some trouble believing it sometimes having to remind myself where I am. Here in Argentina, I am currently interning at a marketing agency while working on my Spanish and experiencing the porteño life. I am 95% sure I will be taking the next semester off from university–staying somewhere in Latin America.

I have met some of the most amazing people, sharing wonderful stories and memories that I want to write down for myself to remember as well as to share with my friends and family and whatever random people may end up here (the internet is a strange place). My intention is to post regularly with updates while also working my way backwards and posting about my travels (with photos if I manage to tackle the gigabytes piling up) sprinkling in some random thoughts along the way. Let me know if there is anything in particular you are curious about and please share your stories with me also. Hasta pronto!

    Hi Stephanie!
It’s great to hear about your adventures. I’m working to connect with future potential Sage Corps fellows, and it would be fantastic to hear your stories and incorporate them into my efforts!

I know it’s a lot of work to keep a blog going, but even just being able to talk to you over email or something like that and hear what you have to say about some of your experiences on the ground would be great. I’m especially interested in the specific part you’ve been able to play at your startup, or how you think working for a foreign startup is different from working at a domestic startup, or even a domestic company. What’s been the best experience? What’s been the worst? What’s been the hardest?

Sorry if this is too much! I’m just excited to see a fellow travel blogger and would love to hear and write more about your adventures.
